About the program

Guided Paida Lajin is an online program that teaches the self-practice behind our in-person Paida-Lajin Therapy. You learn how to pat with a relaxed, open palm, how to adjust intensity, and how to hold simple supported stretches using items you have at home — a wall, a chair, a bed edge or, if you have one, a Lajin Bench.

The program is facilitated by our therapist, trained in Paida Lajin, with one guiding principle: never force, always listen to your body.

What the program covers

  • The basics of Paida: rhythm, pressure, and the commonly patted areas — shoulders, elbows, hands, knees and feet.
  • The basics of Lajin: safe, supported stretches for the legs, back and shoulders, with options for different flexibility levels.
  • How to start light, increase gradually and recognise when to stop.
  • Seated variations for seniors and anyone who finds floor work difficult.
  • Short routines for busy days: a 10-minute desk-break sequence and a longer weekend practice.
  • After-care: rest, warmth and hydration after practice.

Who it is for

Desk-job professionals who want an active, energising break from sitting; students who need a simple routine to refresh the body between study blocks; and seniors (55+) who prefer seated, gentle versions with careful guidance on intensity.

How it works

  1. Enquire via WhatsApp, phone or the enquiry form to receive batch dates, timings and fees.
  2. Health intake. Because patting is not suitable for everyone, we ask about medications, skin sensitivity and medical conditions before you begin.
  3. Live online sessions with demonstrations, practice time and questions.
  4. Home practice sheet so you can continue confidently between sessions.

Who should check with a doctor first

  • People taking blood thinners or with bleeding or clotting disorders.
  • Pregnant women, and anyone who has recently had surgery.
  • People with diabetes and reduced sensation, fragile skin, severe osteoporosis, heart conditions or uncontrolled blood pressure.

Temporary skin redness can occur after patting; this is one reason we always begin lightly. Guided Paida Lajin is wellness education, not medical treatment.
